Aldar launches ‘The Wilds’ – its third residential community in Dubai
Dubai: The master-developer Aldar has released its third residential community – The Wilds – in Dubai, and true to the name basing the design around a lot of green and other natural settings. The project is located along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road opposite Global Village.
The Abu Dhabi company makes a point of saying that while building the homes making up The Wilds, it will ensure ‘safe integration and retention’ of a variety of species. And also make sure to have a ‘selection of native plants within a woodland sanctuary’.
The Wilds ‘will become the most sought-after green development in the emirate’, said Jonathan Emery, CEO of Aldar Development. It’s the ‘place where people and nature will live and grow together, where children are encouraged to be curious in an environment that will not only nurture their health, well-being and development, but also help them understand their responsibility to protect the environment for future generations’.
Aldar has by now got multiple projects and investments in Dubai, with its two residential communities being the ‘Haven’ and ‘Athlon’.
The Wilds will have about 1,700 homes, including 5- and 6-bedroom mansions designed by Lebanese architect Nabil Gholam. “Every home is surrounded by eco corridors and green spaces that provide privacy within nature,” said a statement.

The area where The Wilds will come up lends itself to a serene and upscale setting for residential choices. It will be close to one of Dubai’s legacy freehold developments, the Albarari.
Prices for 3-bedroom villas at The Wilds start from Dh5.1 million, and Dh10 million to Dh11 million for more premium options.
Formal sales of the units start February 27 at the Coca-Cola Arena Dubai.
An international school will be part of the mix at The Wilds. The campus will come with outdoor learning spaces – again in keeping with the theme of the master-development – and eco-focused facilities.
Aldar’s earlier two residential projects in Dubai found an immediate buyer base, helped by the fact that investor interest was turning towards sprawling community-themed offplan options. The pricing, according to brokers, also hit the spot with a younger demographic of property buyers.
All three community projects stem from a partnership between Aldar and Dubai Holding.
Beyond the residences, The Wilds will also be home to a pond and dry stream habitats, ‘with duck houses seamlessly blending into water streams’. Manmade bird nests and bee-keeping zones will also come into being across the community.
